two-four, 2006

been thinking about what solo 24 to do next year... saw this on usa cycling and it's calling to me. with the "world championships" falling apart, seems like nationals is the way to go...

I have raced there 3 times. The course is rolling hills, with some tight singletrack thrown in. A bunch of rack gardens also. Laps are 15 miles long and take just a hair over 1 hour to complete. If you do this event, prepare for total mileage for the 24 hours to be close to 280 miles. This is a great venue and event!

word. thanks for the course info, man. 280miles of dirt is a shit-ton of dirt - must be a wicked-fast course. not very technical or steep i'd assume... someone on mtbr just brought-up the point that it's the week before transrockies, a race i hope to do in 2006... it'd be wicked to do 24hr nationals then the transrockies a week later! 2006 is beginning to come together...

I'm kinda thinking of this one too. It's only a couple weeks after the 24 Hours of Big Bear though. Not sure I could recover and be ready for another 24. Later. JM
