first day on the deck

conditions at cannon were really solid for this time of year. good powdah on the sides of main trails, 80% open when they opened Taft and Hardscrabbles at 1230-1p. hiked-up mittersill twice, snow over there was great the first time up, still decent 2nd time down. the tops of small trees were really sticking-up through the snow. pretty cool scene, one of those times i wish i had a digital camera. it was also good to ride with my old friend dr mike. he taught me how to board 6+ years ago at cannon...

it's been a good wk so far for training efforts. big rains coming here and up north next couple days, looks like the boarding is on hold for a week or two.

had a really enjoyable trip to Georgia to see the family for xmas, good to see everyone. been a nice holiday so far, awesome to have the whole week like this to do whatever.
